  Sent out on a lunch run, first place was closed. Thought I'd try here based on reviews. Sent this photo of the menu to the guys so they could order.
  Was asked in a rather accusatory tone why I was taking photos. Even after I explained I still didn't like the vibe.
  Maybe I read it wrong, maybe they don't like out of towners. I'll never know.
  McDonalds was good.

  Never had a problem, fish is battered lightly, (not covered in cake) chips are great, service is fine. Good old fashioned chippy (with crumbed cutlets).still the best in orange.

  Worst customer service I’ve had anywhere in a long time. Unless you were an elderly regular you were treated like an inconvenience more than a customer. I was excited to get old school chips but was made to feel so inhuman. I said to a lady standing next to me “ hi excuse me have you ordered” to which she smiled and replied “no not yet”, we had a little giggle and I said “oh okay no worries, I would hate to push in” and for the first time even acknowledging I was in the store the owner said “she wouldn’t be served anyway” rudely and almost angrily as if I had done something to him. I was so taken aback as I was trying to do the right thing and not push in but the way he said he wouldn’t have served me was disgusting. When it finally came time for me to order he rolled his eyes, huffed and puffed and basically threw my food at me when it was ready. He asked me if I wanted salt but by the time I could even open my mouth to reply he said “I take that as a no” and was already wrapping it up.
  
  Now I am a really polite person. I am always apologising even if I’m not in the wrong and I am someone who would rather let someone go first even if I was next and I’ll happily wait as I have no need to complain even if it’s an inconvenience but that response was degrading and as a young woman I seriously felt targeted like I didn’t belong in the shop. And I understand you’re busy but I won’t be going back which is disappointing.

  Love the seafood basket on a plate wrapped in foil. Very convenient.

  Amazing takeaway store - especially the fish! It taste quite fresh and its something that i definitely recommend trying out. The chips were not the best maybe due to peak hour but otherwise, a great place. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and seating is available
